Calgary Marathon

Just before I turned 41, I ran the Calgary marathon - I was still 40 and it was the 40th running of the race so for my "one and only marathon" it just worked. I had way too much fun and ran it in a little under 4 hours. In the days following that race I got it stuck in my head, that with better training, I could make Boston.

I ran two half marathons in the fall and the results were encouraging. In December, I started to train for the July Calgary marathon. My one and only goal of 3:20, was the time I needed to qualify for Boston.
