The date itself is inconsequential.
When I think back to that weekend we
spent in Tofino, it is the details that I treasure. Details like the
pre-race pasta and salmon dinner complete with shell decorations
beautifully laid out on the tables. Details like the delicious chocolate
desserts donated by local hotels, and my son playing in the sand on the
beach and knowing that I would be running on that same beach the next
morning in my first marathon.
